Monograms has introduced an “Iceland Stopover” program, giving travellers a perfect way to get a taste of the European country.

Travellers can choose to break their journey either on the way to Europe or on the way home, and enjoy two night’s accommodation in Reykjavik at the four-star Icelandair Reykjavik Marina Hotel. The city package also includes buffet breakfast daily, a half-day guided sightseeing tour, a special inside visit to the Hallgrimskirka Church and the services of a local host who can help with sightseeing, dining and shopping.

“There’s no doubt that Iceland is becoming one of the must-see destinations in the world,” says Monograms managing director for Canada, Stéphanie Bishop, “and this stopover package is a great way to sample its unique culture and geography.”

The program, which costs from $800 to $983 per person, based on departure date (airfare not included), operates year round and is available in conjunction with Icelandair flights to Reykjavik from Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto or Halifax.

And, if two nights is not enough, Globus offers a fully escorted eight-day Iceland Adventure.
