Turkish Airlines was the bronze sponsor of the 34th Annual Vancouver Sun Run, which recently took place in downtown Vancouver.
In addition to this, Turkish Airlines has made history by becoming a Gold Sponsor of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC). This is the first time that a company from a country other than Canada or India has become a sponsor of this organization.
“This was a great opportunity for Turkish Airlines to develop a stronger relationship with one of the most important communities in Canada, the Indians. We’re glad to be the Gold Sponsor of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) and wish to continue to contribute such these multicultural organizations, as an airline that reaches and touches more international destinations than any other airline in the world,” said Zafer Bolukbasi, Turkish Airlines’ general manager in Toronto.
Turkish Airlines has also recently announced its sponsorship of the International South Asian Film Festival among other initiatives to build relationships with the community.
Demand for business class travel is growing especially to India, involving either successful entrepreneurs or families/individuals reaching retirement, but still keen to travel.
