Quebec ice hotel now open

The Quebec City-area HÒtel de Glace is now open to the public and will be accessible until March 25. The 2012 design is dedicated to the Northern Québec and the First Nations of that huge territory. Through the art, culture, knowledge and values of the First Nations of Northern Québec, visitors will enter a journey between folklore and modernity. This season, new outdoor activities for families will be available on site. Two major projects are found this winter: the realization of an ice skating rink of 12-metre in diameter and the creation of a covered slide completely made of ice and snow. Thematic weekends around the First Nations of Northern Québec, festive evenings at the Ice Bar, Folkloric Sundays at the Sugar Shack, and Spring Break “Family Winter Pleasures”will be staged this winter.
