Recovery Versus Sustainability

Finding The Balance Between Recovery And Responsibility

As the industry looks ahead to 2023, most will be anticipating that the rapidly approaching new year will bring with it a full recovery.

However, there are already some economic headwinds threatening and the question that many are asking is whether those factors will present significant obstacles to the industry’s recovery.

And while recovery is, understandably, the top priority of everyone in the industry, the other question that arises is that of sustainability and whether the drive to recover will overshadow the need to do it sustainably.

For its 2023 Forecast, Canadian Travel Press reached out to senior executives in a number of sectors and asked them for their views on how the industry’s recovery will progress in the coming year, but also to offer some insights on whether Canada’s travel and tourism industry can balance the urgent need for economic recovery with the just as urgent need to act on climate change.

Don’t miss Forecast 2023 in the latest issue of CANADIAN TRAVEL PRESS.
