Shackleford Leaving Tourism Ireland

After 15 years with Tourism Ireland, Jayne Shackleford is calling it quits to embark on what she calls her greatest travel adventure… “she’s off to see the world with her family for 12 months.”

Shackleford, manager of Tourism Ireland in Canada, is finished at the end of the month. No replacement has been announced.

Speaking with PressToday, Shackleford called the move “bittersweet.” She and her husband and two children have rented their house for a year with plans to travel the world, starting with four months in Ireland. She said the timing is right, before their children enter grade school.

“It’s tough, but I’m very excited,” she said.
