Time To Experience Indigenous Tourism In Newfoundland And Labrador

“The province of Newfoundland and Labrador is a growing Indigenous tourism destination, with a wide array of Indigenous tourism-owned offerings, as well as Indigenous-made tourism-made products, cultural events, guiding services and community stories,” Caroline Swan, NLITA’s executive director tells Canadian Travel Press’ Ian Stalker.

She continues: “The opportunities to experience Indigenous tourism there are immense.”

But Newfoundland also has many First Nation Mi’kmaq communities who are eager to share their culture with visitors.

And Swan makes it clear that: “Our goal is to celebrate this and let people know that Indigenous tourism is found throughout the province.”
