STARWOOD

There are more than a million reasons for booking Starwood. Starwood is advising travel agents that when they book a room at any Sheraton, Westin, Luxury Collection or St. Regis property in Hawaii, Starwood will provide their clients with a free welcome gift upon arrival with a personalized card from the agent and his or her agency. Meanwhile, a 2011 travel professional booking incentive means those who book any Ocean View and above room category receive either US$25 or 2,000 Starwood Preferred Guest points per night. Those who book any other room categories will receive US$10 or 1,000 Starpoints per night. Starwood is reminding agents that its Aloha Amenity Program offers free nights starting at 2,000 Starpoints, and there are no black-out dates. Starpoints can be redeemed directly for airline tickets or transferred to over 30 airline frequent flyer programs. They can also be redeemed for products or gift cards from the likes of Amazon, Starbucks, The Gap and more. Each time an agent confirms a reservation at a Starwood Hotel or Resort, he or she is eligible for an entry into the StarwoodPro One Million Starpoints Sweepstakes. Agents need only register once and can return to log each booking they make with any Starwood brand. The Grand Prize is a million points, and there are 12 monthly prizes of 50,000 Starwood Guest points. The official rules can be found on Starwood’s web site. (www.starwoodpro.com)
