And in response to that demand, Sunwing is offering savings of up to 35% on its vacation packages as part of its Steal of a Deal Sale.

Travellers can access the savings by booking select packages booked between now and June 11, 2021 for travel between Nov. 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022.

Andrew Dawson, president of tour operations for Sunwing, said: “We’re starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel as our customers start to book their future vacations.”

Dawson continued: “With fully vaccinated residents south of the border making an enthusiastic return to travel, we’re now seeing Canadians following suit. Our recently announced regional routes have also been extremely popular and are selling out from coast to coast as Canadians seek out frictionless vacation experiences more than ever before.”

And Sunwing’s chief marketing officer, Samantha Taylor pointed out that: “From family reunions to reconnecting with friends and group getaways, travellers are getting a head start on planning their winter escape while taking advantage of incredible early booking deals.”

Taylor said that: “We’re seeing an increasing number of customers seek out personalized and enhanced vacation experiences to make up for lost time, including upgrading to premium room categories, opting for private resort transfers and staying at ultra-luxurious resorts.”

Sunwing has also added more regional gateways for the 2021-2022 winter season – which include Sudbury, London and cities across Atlantic Canada – to make it easier than ever for groups to reconnect in destination – even when they’re taking off from different airports across the country.
