The Travel Corporation Extends Vaccination Policy

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has extended its COVID-19 vaccination requirement for all adult guests travelling with its Trafalgar, Contiki, Insight Vacations, Costsaver, Brendan Vacations and Luxury Gold guided tour brands.

The policy came into effect on Sept. 1, 2021 and will remain in effect until at least Dec. 31, 2022.

TTC’s policy requires clients to show documented proof of having received two doses of approved COVID-19 vaccines from either Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca or one dose from Johnson & Johnson. The final dose of the vaccine must have been administered a minimum of 15 days prior to their departure.

Jeff Element, president of The Travel Corporation Canada, said that: “Further to our vaccine policy announcement and following a positive response from valued Travel Advisors, partners and guests, we have extended the policy to last at least through the end of 2022.”

Element continued: “The wellbeing of our guests and teams on the road remain our top priority, and we’re proud to continue delivering the seamless and incredible travel experiences we are known for, while ensuring clients’ peace of mind.”

Clients booked with the brands will need to provide proof of an approved COVID-19 vaccination to their Wellbeing Director, Travel Director, Trip Manager or Travelling Concierge prior to joining the tour and upon arrival to their destination. Additionally, they will need to comply with specific PCR testing requirements imposed by airlines and/or the destinations, which may differ from country to country. As part of TTC brands’ enhanced arrival protocols, Travel or Wellbeing Directors will complete temperature checks and guests will be required to complete a health questionnaire.

Anyone with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or missing/incomplete testing or vaccination documents will be referred for additional testing before being allowed to join the group. Travel and Wellbeing Directors, along with restaurants and other vendors, may also conduct additional screenings throughout the trip whenever the need arises.

TTC guided tours will be operated in accordance with a rigorous set of enhanced hygiene, physical distancing and robust on-road protocols, adapting to and complying with all requirements by relevant government authorities.
