TICO seeks registrant feedback

Over the past several years, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has been conducting a Consumer Awareness Campaign using various forms of media to inform consumers about the benefits of purchasing their travel services from TICO registered travel agencies – and this year wants your help. Before finalizing its campaign strategy for the upcoming year, TICO would like to obtain some feedback from its registrants. TICO will be sending the brief online survey to all registrants with a request to provide their views on its campaign and what they would like to see included in future. “TICO registrants play an important role in TICO ‘s message to consumers and obtaining registrant feedback to increase consumer awareness is crucial,”says TICO president Michael Pepper. “Consumers making holiday arrangements have a choice: they can book through a TICO-registered travel agent and have the cost of their travel services protected, or they can put their hard-earned vacation dollars at risk and book with someone else.”TICO ‘s campaign will continue to stress that when booking a holiday with a registered Ontario travel agency, travellers are protected by the province’s strict consumer protection laws, and the cost of the travel service is protected by the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund. TICO registrants are encouraged to provide their views and take a moment to complete this brief online survey by April 27.
