TICO’s “Wild Suitcase” commercial is returning to TV screens across Ontario starting on Jan. 12.
According to officials, the commercial has been modified to place greater emphasis on how Ontario travel agents make their client’s trip “FantasTICO” and to remind the public that no matter how they book their travel, be it online or in person, they should make sure to look for the TICO logo and book with a TICO registered travel agency.
This year the campaign has been concentrated into a four-week period and will appear on all Ontario networks.
In total the campaign will deliver a stampede of 33 million impressions
telling Ontario travellers to look for the TICO logo when they book.
“As we enter 2015, TICO is excited over the prospects of a vibrant travel season and looks forward to supporting all its agencies and wholesalers in the year ahead. We trust this commercial adds a little levity to the vital role our registrants provide to the travelling public,” said TICO Registrar Richard Smart.
TICO is also reminding all registrants to make sure their businesses are ready to leverage this exposure by having the TICO logo on all of their contact points, such as web site, e-mail signature, store door or windows, business cards and brochures.
And, to celebrate the launch of the campaign, TICO is running a contest for TICO registered travel agents and wholesalers. Agents are asked to look at the commercial and count the number of Zebras that appear in the commercial from beginning to end. Entrants must go to TICO’s Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ticontario) to enter their count in a contest for a chance to win a set of Zebra Luggage.
