Tokyo Travel Essentials: Remarkable experiences, unforgettable city

‘What makes Tokyo one of the most remarkable destinations on the planet’ will be the focus of the Tokyo Travel “Essentials” Webinar 2025, hosted by the Tokyo Tourism Representative Office on Thursday, January 22 at 2:00pm EST.

Shin Kawai, director of the Tokyo Tourism Representative Office, Canada, will provide an overview of Tokyo as a destination, touching on the experiences and developments that continue to shape the city, including dining and wellness offerings, art and culture, major events, and new hotels.

Joining Kawai, Steve Gillick will draw on recent travels to highlight some of Tokyo’s defining experiences, touching on the elements that make the city such a compelling and easy destination to navigate. Khaled Iwamura will uncover three very different faces of Tokyo, from a remote volcanic island and quiet mountain towns to the cultural heartbeat of the city itself.

The webinar will provide travel professionals up-to-date information and practical inspiration to help advisors effectively promote and sell Tokyo to a range of clients.
