Trafalgar Unveils Africa 2019
Trafalgar is introducing sub-Saharan Africa for the first time to its growing roster after 72 years in the making. Beginning December 2018, Canadian travellers will be able to explore 10 handcrafted trips to nine different countries including South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania and more.
And to celebrate its new 2019 Africa program, travellers can save 10% on selected Trafalgar trips when paid in full by Jan. 17, 2019.
Paying homage to the Tollman family‘s beloved homeland, the new program features trips to connect clients with the continent’s abundant beauty, spectacular scenery, bold energy, and intensely rich culture.
Guests can view CEO Gavin Tollman’s recent blog post with his personal insights about Trafalgar’s exciting new program and ‘returning home:’ www.gavintollmanblog.com/2018/06/12/a-return-home-72-years-in-the-making/.
Said Tollman: “We’ve waited for this moment, and it is only after the recent 100% acquisition of the foremost operator that we know that we could bring Africa to our Trafalgar guests.”
He continued: “This continent is our home, the place we know best. It is critical for us to do justice to that legacy, sharing with you the secrets and hidden gems that are part of our family.”
Africa has always been a top bucket list destination for Canadians. The timing of Trafalgar’s commitment to Africa also has great significance as 2018 marks the centenary of the life of one of the greatest leaders and fathers of Africa, if not the world – Nelson Mandela.
They have developed an immense admiration for Mandela’s humanitarian efforts with his various visits to Canada and the beauty of South Africa and its people.
Trafalgar’s “coming home” in 2018 is a small homage to the greatest fellow (South) African and the Tollman family cannot wait to share the secrets and hidden gems that are part of their family collection of favourite memories and moments.
Consisting of three different unique and customized trip styles, Trafalgar will be offering ‘Country Explorer’ styles, for clients interested in one destination, ‘Regional Explorer’ styles, for clients interested in exploring a number of countries and ‘Mini Stay’ styles, for those who want to extend their trip.
Each unique travelling style, offers clients a more personalized experience however they choose to explore.
Trafalgar’s new Africa program also features immersive and intimate trips, ranging from 12 to 15 passengers per trip and on some adventures as few as four clients, for a fully in-depth cultural experience.
