Transat Brings Romance To YVR

A new schedule of summer season direct flights from Vancouver to Rome by Air Transat led the news at the recent Transat Holidays agents’ dinner in Burnaby recently.

The direct flights will start operating on June 17 and continue on Fridays until Oct. 7, but flights with connections will be available earlier.

Bookings on the new flights are now getting underway, with early booking bonuses in place on Transat programs, said company brass who hosted the Transat 2016 Europe training academy and dinner at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.

For instance, Transat products can be reserved with a deposit of just $100 before March 31.

“The Rome program is big for us, it’s the first time it has been offered from the West,” said Dean Neville, the Transat western sales manager. Italy products in the Transat roster range from a Rome Your Way program for first-timers to multi-city packages around the country and even a selection of villas in Tuscany and Umbria.
