Singapore is not just a melting pot for cultures and customs from different parts of Asia, but also a place where Eastern and Western influences come together to produce an extraordinary blend quite unlike any other found elsewhere. This is especially evident in the multi-cultural make-up of Singapore. Visitors to the shores of Singapore will find a natural food-centric culture and a confluence of impressive culinary experiences to excite not only the tastebuds, but thrill all senses.

In this episode of Singapore Insiders, we will take you on a mouth-watering journey to introduce Singapore’s unique multi-cultural food history. The make-up of Singapore’s food scene is eclectic and varied – one can have an utterly delicious $3 meal for breakfast from a food stall at Singapore’s famed Hawker Centers, and transit to an exquisite dinner at a Michelin starred fine-dining spot dishing up cuisines from local Peranakan to Chinese, and French. In between, look out for top bar spots, independent owned casual food joints serving up modern Singaporean fare, and well-loved Singaporean snack kiosks to keep you curious and hungry.

Join us as we welcome Singaporean food host and writer, Sarah Huang Benjamin and Food Sorceress, Ruqxana Vasanwala (also a Singaporean culinary teacher extraordinaire) as they take you on a historic and mouth-savoring journey to explore the world of Singaporean food. Be enchanted by Sarah’s insider information of Singapore’s hawker culture (recently awarded the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage award) while Ruqxana will share about how her varied cultural upbringing shows in her personal food journey.

This session will be moderated by Rachel Loh, SVP of STB Americas. Register today to get to know Singapore through a brand-new lens!

(The first 30 participants to register and attend the webinar will receive an exclusive designed Singapore merchandise in the mail!)
