Turkish Airlines flying high with new Toronto office opening

Turkish Airlines is flying high these days with the opening of its new Toronto office.

The event, this week, saw the airline welcome industry VIPs to celebrate and explore the carrier’s new Toronto home and also get an update on some of Turkish Airlines new initiatives in Canada.

Located at 90 Adelaide Street West, #700, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 4A6, travel trade types also enjoyed a selection of authentic Turkish cuisine during the evening’s festivities.

Meanwhile, in other news, as a destination, Türkiye is gaining growing popularity in the Canadian market, with tourism officials reporting that Canadian visitations increased by nine per cent in the first half of 2025, with 126,760 visits from January through June.

Overall, Türkiye welcomed 26,388,831 visitors, up 1 per cent, driving a 7.6 per cent increase in tourism spending.

Also of note, GoTürkiye reports that Türkiye’s popularity has been growing online, with views, followers, and engagement across its official tourism social media platforms reaching record highs as it uses its content strategy to position the country as a global leader in tourism promotion.

Emerging as a leader in global destination marketing, GoTürkiye now stands as one of the most followed official tourism accounts on social media, with a combined audience of 20.8 million across eight major platforms.

GoTürkiye is reporting gains on You Tube, Instagram and TikTok. It is also thriving on Facebook, X (Twitter), WhatsApp, Douyin (China), and VKontakte (Russia).

Through this multi-channel approach, GoTürkiye has now established a strong and sustainable engagement network on a global scale. With data-driven and multi-layered digital strategies from the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), GoTürkiye has evolved beyond being just a promotional platform to become Türkiye’s cultural ambassador in the digital realm.
