Time For Adventure On Family Day 2021

Intrepid Urban Adventures has just launched online virtual experiences designed to give families a taste of travel during the pandemic.

These live and interactive tours were launched in response to the growing demand for virtual experiences amid the on-going global pandemic and connect families with local tour guides and their families around the globe.

The day tour arm of global tour operator Intrepid Travel, notes that at a time when everyone is missing human connection, children will have the opportunity to interact with kids in other countries, ask questions about their lives and learn about the local culture and traditions.

All tours are hands-on and offer families the chance to learn something new. Highlights include cooking pierogi with a family in Krakow, baking Anzac biscuits with a Melbourne mom, and creating a watercolour masterpiece inspired by the works of Frida Kahlo.

The new family tours are part of the wider Urban Adventures At Home range of online experiences, designed to support local guides whose livelihoods have been impacted by the pandemic.

As of Feb. 2021, Intrepid Urban Adventures guides have led over 5,000 virtual experiences globally. With the launch of family experiences, Intrepid now offers more than 50 online experiences, proving that virtual tours are a new reality.

The family collection currently includes experiences from Melbourne, Krakow, Mexico City and Hanoi, with plans to expand to other destinations in the coming months. Sample classes include:
