World Expeditions: Everest Dates Now Guaranteed

In a move to offer trekkers maximum flexibility and allow them to travel on their preferred dates, World Expeditions has announced that all departure dates on the popular Everest Base Camp & Kala Pattar itinerary are guaranteed to run in the upcoming 2019-20 season.

One of the most iconic treks in the world, the trail to the base of Mount Everest leads through classic Sherpa villages such as Namche and Khumjung, offering spectacular mountain vistas throughout. Participants can see where expeditions prepare each spring, in the pre-monsoon season, to ascend the world’s highest peak on their foray to the base camp, and get the best view of Everest from the top of Mount Kala Pattar, from where the guides will point out the classic climbing routes to the summit.

Kicking off on Sept. 15, Everest Base Camp & Kala Pattar operates weekly, every Sunday, until May 17. In total, World Expeditions plans to run more than 30 departures during the next trekking season.

There are already a number of reasons to book a trek with World Expeditions – private eco-camps with raised beds and a heated dining area, all meals included, extra luggage allowance, high-quality gear to use, a well-trained team of local guides and porters that ensures safe acclimatization.

“Now, by guaranteeing all departures on this classic trek we can hopefully help travellers bring their dream even closer to becoming a reality,” World Expeditions says.

World Expeditions operates a series of nine eco-friendly campsites in the Everest region, exclusively for World Expeditions travellers. The campsites are designed to offer a more comfortable experience while protecting and caring for Nepal’s environment and communities. They are located in secluded plots that offer a tranquil camping experience with stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan mountains. The guaranteed weekly departures from Sept. 15 to May 17, 2020 are 17 days, and cost from $3,620 per person. Included are all meals, accommodation, domestic flights and airport transfers, park entrance fees and trekking permits, use of high-quality trek pack and souvenir World Expeditions kit bag. Participants join in Kathmandu. International flights extra.
