Frontier drops Expedia

Denver-based Frontier Airlines says that its schedules and fares will no longer be available on Expedia. The move takes effect immediately and comes after Frontier and Expedia were unable to reach agreement to continue offering Frontier’s schedules and fares on the online travel agency’s web site. The airline indicated that its customers can still find its fare on other travel sites such as Travelocity, Orbitz and Priceline. Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice-president, commercial, said: “Booking Frontier travel at FlyFrontier.com remains the best choice as it’s the only place where you’re guaranteed an advanced seat assignment, you’ll earn more EarlyReturns’ miles, and you enjoy more choice in your overall travel experience.” To encourage customers to use http://www.FlyFrontier.com, the carrier is offering a special low fare promotion on its web site. Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 3, 2013. Fares are one way for domestic travel by May 22, 2013, for flights operating Tuesday and Wednesday. Higher sale fares apply to travel on other days of the week, excluding Sunday. Sale applies to domestic fares for travel within the continental United States. A 10-day advance purchase is required.
