2026 PATA Travel Mart in Sarawak for first time

Sarawak, one of two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo, has been selected to hold the PATA Travel Mart in 2026. The city of Kuching will welcome attendees to the Borneo Convention Centre on Aug. 18 to 20, 2026.
PATA, the Pacific Asia Travel Association, will host regional tourism product sellers and international buyers to the event. This is the first time that PATA’s signature travel trade exhibition will take place in Sarawak.
The PATA Travel Mart is one of the longest-running B2B travel trade exhibitions in the Asia Pacific region. The event provides an effective platform for connecting global buyers and sellers across a wide spectrum of the tourism sector – from luxury travel and hospitality to adventure, aviation, wellness, cultural tourism, etc.

PTM 2026 is expected to host participants from over 60 locations worldwide, enabling more than 10,000 targeted business appointments during its two-day program. The 2026 event will mark the 75th anniversary of PATA.
The Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) has been a dedicated partner in advancing PATA’s initiatives to promote destination resilience and sustainability. Sarawak was one of the Asia Pacific destinations to implement the Tourism Destination Resilience (TDR) capacity building program, launched with PATA in 2024.

The two organizations continue to collaborate on initiatives like carbon offset projects, joint advocacy and policy development, sustainable urban tourism and biodiversity conservation.
Sarawak offers “a kaleidoscope of culture, adventure, nature, food and festivals,” and is Malaysia’s largest state, with landscapes spanning over 120,000 sq. km., including some of the oldest rainforests on Earth. Sarawak’s population comprises 34 ethnic tribes with their own unique traditions, lifestyles, music and food.
Registration for PTM 2026 is now open, and interested parties can contact the PATA events department at: [email protected]
