Travel Advisors discover a little luxury in Thailand with Minor Hotels

A select group of travel advisors recently had the opportunity to discover some of Thailand’s luxury offerings on a familiarization trip hosted by Minor Hotels (Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Avani Hotels) in collaboration with CG Journeys.

The trip showcased Minor Hotels luxury properties along with showcasing Thailand’s culturally rich destinations.

The multi-city program also highlighted Thailand’s exceptional hospitality, regional diversity, and newly spotlighted film locations featured in The White Lotus Season 3.

The journey commenced in Chiang Rai at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, where participants engaged in the resort’s acclaimed Walking with the Giants program — a responsible and educational elephant conservation experience.

The group – of Canadian and U.S. travel advisors — also viewed the innovative Jungle Bubbles, transparent luxury domes offering panoramic nighttime views of elephants within their natural habitat. The stay further included visits to the White Temple, Blue Temple, and Karen Hilltribe Village, providing meaningful cultural immersion.

In Chiang Mai, the group explored the serene elegance of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, highlighted by a curated seven-course wine-pairing dinner cruise along the Ping River, during which participants dressed in traditional Thai attire for a culturally enriching evening.

The FAM experience continued on the island of Koh Samui with visits to Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort and Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, both prominent filming locations for The White Lotus.

Activities included a full-day marine excursion to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan for snorkeling, an elevated eight-course wine-pairing dinner at the renowned Tree Tops Sky Dining, and an evening of entertainment at the Singing Bird Lounge.

The group also toured key island landmarks and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of Fisherman’s Village, located steps away from Anantara Bophut.

In Bangkok, participants experienced the refined urban sophistication of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel and the contemporary riverside setting of Anantara and Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel.

The program concluded with a farewell dinner at SEEN Rooftop Bar, offering panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok skyline.

This FAM trip successfully showcased Thailand’s diverse luxury offerings—from wildlife conservation and cultural landmarks to cinematic landscapes and world-class culinary experiences—reinforcing Minor’s commitment to delivering authentic, meaningful, and immersive travel for discerning global travellers.
