Virgin Atlantic takes off with network changes for summer 2026

Virgin Atlantic is taking off with updates to its Summer 2026 network as it responds to customer demand.

The airline will continue its expansion in India, increasing services to Bengaluru from seven to 13 flights per week, supporting strong connectivity for Canadian and US customers connecting via London Heathrow.

This complements double-daily, year-round services to both Mumbai and Delhi. Capacity to Mumbai will also increase, with the VS358/359 operating on an A350 aircraft, adding 30% more seats.

As demand returns between the UK and Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa, services from Montego Bay to London Heathrow will increase from four flights per week to daily beginning June 1, throughout the summer season.

Services from Las Vegas will also grow, increasing from seven to 10 flights per week beginning August 31st, driven by strong demand in September and October.

Due to the evolving situation in the Middle East, Virgin Atlantic continues to make dynamic assessments to its flying program, based on the latest intelligence, regulatory guidance, demand, and operating costs.

As a result, the airline has taken the difficult decision to cancel its London Heathrow–Riyadh service. Virgin Atlantic will continue to serve Saudi Arabia through its codeshare and SkyTeam partner, Saudia, which operates services between London Heathrow, Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as Manchester to Jeddah, with onward connections across the Kingdom.

The carrier’s Flying Club members will continue to enjoy full earn and redemption opportunities on Saudia operated flights.

Dave Geer, Chief Commercial Officer, Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said: “We have loved flying to Riyadh and are very sorry for the disappointment this change will cause. We know this route has been important to many of our customers, and we’re truly grateful for their support.”

Geer noted that: “As we look ahead to the summer season, we know many customers are actively planning their travel. We’re pleased to be offering increased flying between our three largest markets – the USA, Caribbean and India – to help meet this demand.”

And he added that: “Customers booked to travel to Riyadh will be contacted with their options, including rebooking onto an alternative carrier or receiving a refund. We remain committed to the region and will continue to offer connectivity to Saudi Arabia through our partnership with Saudia.”
