WestJet adds fuel surcharge on some bookings

WestJet has advised that it will implement a $60 fee on companion voucher bookings in response to the continuing rise of fuel prices.
The new fee, which the airline said is temporary, will take effect on April 8. It also said that all companion voucher bookings completed before that date won’t be affected.
The companion voucher program is part of the WestJet RBC Mastercard Rewards program.
In other news from WestJet, the carrier also said that it was consolidating some of its flights on lower demand routes in response to the higher fuel costs.
