Tanya Rabe, Accessibility Specialist and owner of Right Foot Adventures is a featured speaker at this year’s TravelPress Live! on June 17.

A passionate advocate for inclusive travel, Rabe brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the conversation around accessibility in tourism. As an above-knee amputee for more than 40 years and someone living with rheumatoid arthritis for over 20 years, she understands firsthand the barriers many travellers face—and the opportunities the travel industry has to better serve them.

Through her Canadian travel agency, Right Foot Adventures, Rabe specializes in designing seamless, stress-free travel experiences for clients with accessibility needs. Her approach is deeply personal, rooted in empathy, trust, and open communication.

“It takes one to know one,” says Rabe, who has quickly become a respected voice in the accessible travel space. In just three years in the industry, she has emerged as a strong advocate for change, contributing to initiatives that help make travel more inclusive for all Canadians.

Rabe currently serves on ACTA’s DEIA Committee and contributed to the development of the Accessible Travel Advisor Directory, a valuable resource connecting travellers with advisors who understand accessibility on a deeper level.
