Turkish Airlines ups its lift from Canada, returns as 2026 RBC Canadian Open airline sponsor

Turkish Airlines is ramping up its activities in Canada, increasing its lift; returning as the official airline sponsor of the 2026 RBC Canadian Open; and introducing its newly expanded premium Turkish Airlines Lounge.
In the air, Turkish Airlines has announced a significant schedule expansion for its Canadian operations, adding extra flights to Istanbul from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in July 2026.
The new expansion will see Turkish Airlines operating 7 weekly flights from YYZ; 4 weekly flights from YVR; and 4 weekly flights from YUL.
As well, the carrier has returned as the official airline sponsor of the 2026 RBC Canadian Open, which takes place from June 10 to June 14 at the North Course at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.
And to reinforce its commitment to high-performance sport at Canada’s most anticipated—and only—PGA tournament, the 2026 partnership introduces a newly expanded premium Turkish Airlines Lounge, featuring a larger, climate-controlled space and an enhanced covered viewing area overlooking the 18th green, designed to deliver an elevated and memorable guest experience.
The centrepiece of this year’s sponsorship, the newly designed and expanded Turkish Airlines Lounge, located at the clubhouse, will feature increased square footage and offer unparalleled views of the game. Guests will experience Turkish hospitality, featuring the following:
- Expanded Lounge: 2,000 square feet of custom-built lounge space with glass walls for 360 degrees of green gazing.
- Turkish Coffee & Tea Station: Traditional tea and coffee service providing a traditional Turkish pick-me-up between rounds.
- Wellness & Relaxation: On-site professional shoulder massages to keep fans refreshed and ready for the action, a nod to the Turkish Airlines Business Class lounge in Istanbul airport.
- Premium Catering: A curated menu of Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dessert options will be served.
Beyond the Lounge, Turkish Airlines is bringing the excitement to The Fare Way with the following:
- Public On-Course Activation: Located at the bustling The Fare Way where fans can stop by for refreshments and contesting opportunities.
- At the Driving Range: Turkish Airlines will provide traditional Turkish coffee service for players on the driving range.
- Contesting: Fans will have the chance to win two (2) Round-Trip tickets to any of Turkish Airlines’ 350+ destinations.
This year’s tournament features an elite roster of talent, including high-profile Canadian stars such as 2023 RBC Canadian Open champion Nick Taylor, top-ranked Canadian Corey Conners, and fan favourites Taylor Pendrith, Mackenzie Hughes, Adam Hadwin, Adam Svensson, Ben Silverman, Mike Weir and PGA TOUR rookies Sudarshan Yellamaraju and A.J. Ewart. PGA TOUR stars Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka, Tony Finau, Max Homa, and Jacob Bridgeman have also confirmed their intention to compete.
With excitement at an all-time high, Sunday tickets in the Turkish Airlines Lounge are officially sold out, though limited quantities remain for Thursday through Saturday.
Turkish Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Harun Bastürk said that: “Our return to the RBC Canadian Open is a reflection of our long-term commitment to Canada and to the sports communities that unite people across borders. Turkish Airlines connects over 130 countries, and we bring that same global spirit to every partnership we enter.”
Bastürk continued: “Building on the momentum of our first year, we have worked closely with Golf Canada and Osprey Valley to deliver a significantly enhanced guest experience that mirrors the ambition and excellence on display at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. We are glad to stand beside one of golf’s most storied national Opens and look forward to another unforgettable week.”
