Costa Cruises launches Summer 2027 Itineraries with a concept

Costa Cruises is redefining how holidays are designed. No longer simply a series of ports, each itinerary is built around a distinct identity, delivering unique experiences in specific places and moments throughout the journey.

Beginning in the summer of 2027, the cruise line is evolving the Sea & Land Wonder Platform, introduced by Costa Cruises in 2024, that brings together sea and land destinations into a single vision. This unique approach has transformed the way cruising is experienced, under which the journey between ports becomes as meaningful as the ports themselves.

A stroll through the streets of Portofino, Italy, and a blazing sunset in front of the Stromboli volcano, experienced from the sea, evoke the refinement of Mediterranean living. A twilight swim against the backdrop of Tavolara’s cliffs off Sardinia, Italy, and a golden sunrise in the crystal-clear waters of Formentera captures the light and beauty of the Mediterranean’s brightest islands.

Francesco Muglia, chief commercial officer & SVP of Costa Cruises explained that: “When we launched the Sea & Land Wonder Platform, our goal was clear: to place wonder at the heart of every moment of the journey, at sea and on land. Results have confirmed that guests are increasingly seeking authentic experiences that leave a lasting impression. Muglia continued: “Data supports this direction: 85% of our partners identify experiential coherence as a key factor in itinerary choice, and booking intent for the new concepts increases by 5%. It’s a paradigm shift that redefines how cruises are created and chosen, strengthening Costa’s innovative role in the sector.”

Beginning in summer 2027, Costa’s Sea & Land itineraries are defined not only by geography, but by a distinct vision. Each cruise carries its own identity, named and built around iconic locations and unique Sea Destinations.
