Great North pilots ratify first collective agreement  

Great North Airlines pilots — represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) – have voted to ratify a tentative agreement (TA) reached with Great North Airlines management.

The two-year deal provides clearer scheduling rules, modernized compensation, and enhancements aimed at supporting pilot well‑being.

ALPA Canada president Capt. Tim Perry said that: “This first collective agreement establishes the professional standards and stability that every pilot deserves, and it reflects the strength and unity of this pilot group as they build their future.”

The agreement was supported by a strong majority of the pilot group and marks a significant milestone for Great North Airlines as it continues to expand operations. The new collective agreement takes effect immediately.

And Capt. Perry added: “This agreement is the result of constructive dialogue and a shared commitment to safety, fairness, and long‑term growth. ALPA is proud to support Great North pilots as they take this important step forward in securing a contract that recognizes their essential role in Canada’s aviation system.”
