Virtuoso Travel Tech Summit returns to Virtuoso Travel Week

Virtuoso will host its fifth annual Virtuoso Travel Tech Summit on Aug. 9, at Bellagio Resort & Casino during the 38th annual Virtuoso Travel Week.

The Travel Tech Summit brings together technology leaders, venture capitalists, innovators developing next-generation travel solutions and travel professionals to explore how emerging technologies can empower advisors, increase efficiency and foster more personalized client care and luxury travel experiences.

Led by tech entrepreneur, investor and Virtuoso board member Gilad Berenstein, the summit will open with a look at the key themes shaping travel technology.

Berenstein observed of the event that: “Five years in, the Travel Tech Summit has become a proving ground for the ideas, solutions and partnerships that are reshaping luxury travel.”

And Berenstein: “This year’s program moves beyond conversation to show innovation in action, from AI-enabled workflows and advisor-built solutions to new models for collaboration across the Virtuoso network. Our goal is for advisors and partners to leave not only inspired but equipped with practical ways to turn emerging technology into stronger businesses and more meaningful client relationships.”

Janette Roush, chief AI and innovation officer at Brand USA, will deliver the centre-stage keynote, exploring how travel brands are using AI to reimagine marketing, storytelling and travel content strategy.

Her presentation will examine how emerging tools can help advisors better organize destination content, personalize audience engagement and strengthen the connection between inspiration and travel planning.

During the summit, Virtuoso Chairman and CEO Matthew D. Upchurch will share his perspective on the broader technological shifts reshaping the industry, including how the network is advancing solutions that connect expertise, insights, data and relationships across the Virtuoso ecosystem.

Building on that vision, Helen McCabe-Young senior vice president, global products at Virtuoso and Paul Kearney, senior vice president, global technology at Virtuoso, will further illustrate how Virtuoso’s product and technology strategy is coming to life for advisors and partners. Both leaders will be joined by Virtuoso’s product and technology teams in the marketplace throughout Virtuoso Travel Week.

McCabe-Young said that: “The strongest technology makes it easier for our network to deliver exceptional experiences for clients and guests,” said McCabe-Young. “Our focus is on building product solutions that simplify complexity, strengthen connections across our global network and help advisors and partners accelerate their own capabilities for business growth. When technology enhances human connection and empowers our network collectively, travellers feel the difference.”

TBO, a sponsor of this year’s Travel Tech Summit, will see co-founder Gaurav Bhatnagar reinforce that the highest purpose of AI in luxury travel is amplifying human expertise, not replacing it. He will provide insight into how TBO helps advisors work more efficiently, deepen client relationships and create new opportunities for growth in a business where personal service is at the centre.

A new element this year is the Travel Tech Summit Game Show, where attendees and on-stage thought leaders will take part in an interactive discussion on trends shaping travel technology. Hosted by Berenstein, this segment pairs bold statements and provocative questions with live audience voting and real-time reactions from a panel of experts.

The Tech Summit will also introduce Case Studies, Startups and Big Ideas, a new segment that combines Virtuoso’s longstanding Startup Showcase, member agency case studies and a new “big ideas” element. The segment will spotlight innovation across the network and the broader travel industry, offering a deeper look at emerging concepts, real-world applications and forward-thinking solutions.
