Shafia London named CEO of SVG Tourism Authority

Shafia T. T. London has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA).
London’s appointment comes following a comprehensive recruitment process. She commenced her three-year tenure on July 1, 2026, bringing with her a vision to strengthen, modernize, and sustainably grow the country’s tourism sector.
The new CEO brings nearly two decades of progressive, transformative leadership at both the local and regional levels. Most recently, she served as First Vice President of the Barbados Manufacturing Association, and SVG’s Technical representative to the Caribbean Private Sector Organization. In addition to her corporate success, London is an active entrepreneur.
As for her approach to her new role, London pointed to a focus on execution and measurable impact, observing that: “Together with the Minister, Board and team at the SVGTA, my immediate focus as CEO is to transform our destination as a brand, elevate our marketing strategies, and forge stronger alliances with local, regional and international stakeholders.”
And London continued: “Attracting and bringing visitors and investors is part of the mission. Just as crucially, we must enhance the on- island experience for every visitor while expanding opportunities for local communities – ensuring the economic benefits of tourism are felt widely and equitably.”
Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, and Sustainable Development, Hon. Dr Kishore Shallow, said: “Shafia brings a wealth of administrative and marketing expertise and will be an invaluable asset to the Tourism Authority, as we continue to accelerate growth in an increasingly competitive tourism industry. We are delighted to welcome her into this leadership role, where her experience and vision will help strengthen and elevate our tourism product, further positioning St. Vincent and the Grenadines as a premier destination globally.”
