LAM unveils domestic route enhancements

LAM Mozambique Airlines, represented by AirlinePros Canada in this country, has announced additional domestic route enhancements that will permit further convenience for those that need to make bookings to get around the country.

LAM has opened up a second flight hub based in the coastal city of Beira[BEW]. This hub will permit direct domestic flights to other major destination across Mozambique without having to necessarily reconnect via Maputo, the country’s main gateway.

“This opens up new travel time convenience for those already in the country, considerable savings in travel time and flight costs, in addition to opening new doors of product opportunity with this new hub. This will be of special interest to niche travel/FIT promoters, tour operators and TMCs that handle travel logistics for business related travellers,” said AirlinePros’ Karl Muller.

LAM operates a mixed fleet of Boeing, Embraer and Bombardier aircraft within its fleet. Agents that wish to book LAM routes can take note that flights can be booked in all major GDS systems, agency commission is 3% on published fares and that for the time being the FOP is “cash,” but the airline is working to have that in place.
