Swan Hellenic sails its way to record July results

Swan Hellenic sailed its way to its strongest operational month on record in July of this year, with revenues surging 170% year-on-year, powered by dominant demand for polar expeditions and intensifying guest loyalty.
Total growth year-to-date was an exceptional 268%. What’s more, the latest August figures show the trend continuing.
The company’s core polar portfolio drove two-thirds of this total growth, with Arctic revenue tripling year-on-year, while Arctic guest volumes more than doubled (+125%).
The new Asia-Pacific itineraries achieved very impressive 373% year-on-year growth, while the latest Africa itineraries also performed well, with growth already at 98%.
Swan Hellenic’s key performance highlights include:
- Global Demand: Australia, Asia, Europe, UK and North America all posted explosive, multiple triple-digit growth.
- Class-leading guest satisfaction: Cruise Critic ratings at 4.7, ahead of all key competitors.
- Steep Rise in Returning Guests: Repeat guest share has more than doubled in the past 2 years, with a large number enjoying 3 or more expeditions so far.
Looking ahead, momentum continues to build. The upcoming Antarctica season is pacing 32% ahead of last year’s performance.
Swan Hellenic Chief Commercial Officer Mario Bounas said that: “Our team is very proud of these exceptional results. They’re a ringing endorsement of the outstanding discovery experiences Swan Hellenic provides. From our high-end ships to the gourmet cuisine, service and off-the-beaten path itineraries and expeditions our dedicated staff, expedition teams and onboard experts deliver.”
And Bounas added: “At the same time, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of our wonderfully enthusiastic and insightful trade partners. We’d like to thank them all.”
