Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana opens in the Dominican Republic

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is celebrating the opening of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, marking the debut of the Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts brand in the Dominican Republic — further expanding Hyatt’s growing all-inclusive portfolio in one of the Caribbean’s leading leisure destinations.
Located along the tranquil shores of Cabeza de Toro in Punta Cana, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort brings the Hyatt Vivid brand’s vibrant, experience-driven approach to hospitality to Punta Cana, encouraging guests to reconnect with themselves, each other and the destination.
Designed for today’s modern traveller, Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana reimagines the all-inclusive experience through immersive wellness programming, thoughtfully curated culinary experiences and authentic cultural connections, all delivered in an effortless, flexible atmosphere.
Javier Águila, President, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt, said that: “The opening of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana reflects both the continued strength of the Dominican Republic as one of the world’s premier leisure destinations and our long-term commitment to growing alongside it.”
Águila continued: “We’re grateful to Grupo Anacaona for their trust in bringing the Hyatt Vivid brand to life in this important market. With 30 resorts and more than 16,000 rooms already in the Hyatt Inclusive Collection across the country, this opening further strengthens Hyatt’s leadership in all-inclusive hospitality while introducing a differentiated resort experience designed for guests seeking a more relaxed, flexible and socially connected way to travel.”
Some highlights of the resort include:
- 467 guestrooms and suites inspired by Punta Cana’s coastal surroundings
- Seven dining concepts, including five à la carte restaurants, an international food hall, and bar and grill; plus, seven bars and lounges and a hidden speakeasy
- Zenda Spa and Wellness Café, alongside indoor and outdoor fitness spaces, padel, pickleball, yoga and mindfulness programming
- Locally inspired experiences, including Dominican coffee, art workshops, wellness sessions, culturally inspired spa rituals and immersive programming.
- Social and experiential programming, including paddleboard yoga, live DJs and music, sunset gatherings and guided stargazing
The brand’s expansion reflects growing demand from a new generation of all-inclusive travellers, with recent HIC-commissioned research finding that 42% of Gen Z and 33% of Millennial travelers stayed at an all-inclusive resort within the past year, outpacing older generations.
That interest is being driven in part by value, with 68% of Gen Z and 75% of Millennials saying all-inclusive resorts provide better value than planning different parts of a vacation on their own.
