Exoticca celebrates its travel advisors partners at 2026 Fall Fling in YYZ

If it’s fall, then Exoticca is on the road, hosting its annual Fall Flings.

For the fourth year in a row, the operator will be bringing its show to seven cities across Canada, updating its travel advisor partners on its latest initiatives and a whole lot more.

And this year’s Fall Flings are a little bit different.

The company — which bills itself as a NextGen tour operator — kicked off its 2026 Fall Fling series in Toronto – its biggest Canadian market – welcoming 300 advisors to the Fairmont Royal York last night (Sept. 14) for an evening that featured a trade show of some of Exoticca’s key suppliers along with a dinner, and awards.

The awards are a new element in Exoticca’s Fall Fling, with the operator explaining that the awards part of the event has been introduced because the company wanted to focus on excellence, achievement and recognizing its partners.

The awards and winners included:

  • Growth Partner of the Year – Consortia — TRAVELSAVERS
  • Breakthrough Agency Award — TravelOnly
  • Partnership Excellence – Consortia — Travel Leaders Network
  • Partnership Excellence — Agency Partner — TDC
  • Legacy Excellence Award – Agent — TDC
  • Rising Star Award – Agency – Maritime Travel
  • Growth Partner of the Year – Agency — Expedia
  • Top Producer – Agency — Expedia
  • Exoticca Trailblazer Award — TravelOnly
  • Exoticca Embassador Award — Debbie Griffore, Trevello

In an interview with Travel Press Today (TPT) before the event got underway last night, Mareike Pfennig, Global VP of Growth for Exoticca, explained the goal of the evening: “We want to celebrate the advisors who grew up with us [over the last four years] this evening.”

Exoticca’s Chief Product Officer, Juanjo Duran observed that four years ago, the first Fall Fling was designed to allow Exoticca get to know the advisors here in Canada and to let those advisors get to know Exoticca.

That partnership has certainly evolved – and it has definitely been a positive evolution – over the past few years, with Duran making it clear that: “Exoticca is no longer a question mark [for Canadian advisors], we’re a leading brand and we want to shout it out.”

Today, Canada is Exoticca’s biggest global B2B market, with Toronto being its biggest market in Canada.

Pfennig told TPT that one of the things that Exoticca has continued to do is to work to make life easier for advisor.

In fact, with group business growing for advisors, Exoticca recently introduced a nifty groups platform with a number of helpful features and which is backed by a groups support staff to help advisors handling group business.

When asked what Exoticca wanted advisors to take-away from the celebratory evening in Toronto, Duran observed that: “We do complex trips and make them easy to sell and that allows travel advisors to focus on their clients.”

He also said that Exoticca is constantly renewing its products, adapting to the changes in consumer needs and demands based on what its hearing from its travel advisor partners.

As for Pfennig, she said that the Toronto evening was about saying thanks to the travel advisors who supported Exoticca from the beginning and to those who had just started selling the operator recently.

Exoticca is now on the road, meeting with 250 advisors at each of its Fall Flings in Halifax, Montreal, Quebec City, Calgary Saskatoon and Vancouver
