Portugal picks VoX International as Canadian PR partner

VoX International has been named the public relations agency of record for Visit Portugal in Canada.

The new partnership will see VoX lead Visit Portugal’s Canadian public relations strategy, media relations and communications initiatives, supporting the destination’s continued growth and strengthening its connection with Canadian travellers.

With a longstanding reputation for delivering strategic travel and tourism PR strategies across Canada, VoX will develop creative campaigns and vet media opportunities designed to showcase the breadth of Portugal’s experiences, from its renowned culinary and wine offerings and rich cultural heritage to its diverse landscapes and vibrant cities.

Susan Webb, President, VoX International, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Visit Portugal to the VoX client roster. Portugal is a destination Canadians already know and love, and we’re excited to build on that connection by showcasing the country’s regions, experiences and culture to Canadian travellers.”

The account will be led by Samantha Carreira, PR Account Manager at VoX International. Of Portuguese descent and fully fluent in the language, Carreira has a decade of experience in the travel and tourism industry. She brings a strong knowledge of Portugal to the account, along with her expertise in Canadian media relations and destination PR.

Inês Almeida Garrett, Director for Canada, Visit Portugal, said: “I am very happy to welcome VoX as Visit Portugal’s new PR partner in the Canadian market. What makes this partnership particularly exciting is that VoX knows Portugal well and has a strong understanding of the Canadian travel industry.”

Almeida Garrett continued: “We want to inspire Canadians to discover our gastronomy and wine, culture and heritage, nature, islands, authentic local experiences and the many regions of Portugal that are still waiting to be explored and VoX is the right partner for the job! I am particularly excited about their new ideas for our PR strategy.”
