Flair Vacations ready to make magic moments for advisors and their clients

The newest entrant in this country’s tour operator field is on the verge of beginning to accommodate people eager to bask in some tropical sunshine.
Flair Vacations — a division of Flair Airlines — will begin carrying people south on Nov. 1, with the tour operator’s network featuring Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Montego Bay.
Departures will be available from Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
“We hear this market is ready for a new competitor,” Nicole Bursey, who oversees Flair Vacations, told a Tuesday Toronto gathering.
Flair Vacations will begin taking bookings this month, with Bursey telling those on hand that the new venture is “getting very, very real,”
Flair Vacations clients will have a choice of 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels, with Bursey stating those hotels are “committed to … a new partner in Canada.”
Among hotel choices will be an upscale Marival resort in the Puerto Vallarta area.

Bursey told the event that Flair Vacations knows it has to earn the trust of travel agents. “We do want to be the partner that you want to do business with.”
And she made it clear that advisors booking Flair Vacations — which is using the tagline, “Making Memorable Moments — will find that it offers attractive pricing and “seamless travel” for their clients
Flair Airlines CEO Len Corrado in turn praised his airline — which bills itself as “Canada’s leading value carrier” — for having made “air transportation accessible for a lot of people.”
Flair encountered major financial problems several years ago, but Corrado said the airline is now experiencing a “new day,” carrying some 4.6 million people a year, while adding that the carrier is “customer-centric.”
Flair isn’t facing any labor disruptions, he continued.
Corrado said Flair is determined to work with the travel trade, and recognizes the importance of “trust, trust, trust.”
