TDC sends a message — technology isn’t replacing advisors, just changing where their value matters most

In a wide-ranging conversation with Transat Distribution Canada’s (TDC) General Manager, Karine Gagnon and its Senior director, Marketing, Communications and Events, Marc Pelletier, the message was clear: “In travel, advisors are the essential human filter. They turn a product, a platform or a destination into an experience that feels relevant, reassuring and personal. The message we wanted to share with members was that they should embrace technology as a powerful tool while continuing to invest in the qualities that make them truly irreplaceable.”
And while the world seems to be an uncertain place these days, Gagnon and Pelletier point out that: “Travel advisors are no strangers to extreme turbulence. They have navigated crisis after crisis over the years, and their level of resilience is truly remarkable. They may not enjoy these disruptions, but they know how to adapt, keep moving forward and remain focused on their clients.”
