Here Comes the Sun

Air Canada Vacations (ACV) unveiled its largest Sun brochure ever yesterday for the 2014-2015 season, highlighted by more than 475 resorts in 70 destinations.

Working with Air Canada and Air Canada rouge, ACV offers more non-stop flights than ever before and can provide connecting flights from 66 Canadian cities.

Back for another season are the tour operators’ exclusive programs Aeroplan, Privileges (offering “extra bells and whistles”) and PriceGuard.

Travellers can earn and redeem Aeroplan Miles on every package that includes an Air Canada or Air Canada rouge flight. With this year’s updated Privileges program, booking with a participating hotel – there are 199 taking part this year – means extra added value such as preferred room location, early check-in/late check-out, free WiFi, three guaranteed a la carte dinner at all-inclusive resorts and Aeroplan Miles.

With PriceGuard, if the price of an Air Canada Vacations Air, Hotel & Transfer package drops before travel, ACV will refund the difference of up to a maximum of $800 per couple. Travellers can choose from more than 150 participating resorts applicable for bookings made by Oct. 31 for travel from Nov. 1 and completed by April 30, 2015.

Several early booking bonus options are also available.

“We’re really a one-stop shop. Anywhere Air Canada [or Air Canada rouge] flies, we can put a package together for you,” said Denise Graham, general manager, Sales Ontario & Western Canada.

Also featured in the new ACV Sun brochure is a 40-page Sandals insert. A highlight here is the new Sandals property opening in Barbados in January, which ACV is already taking bookings for.
