Intrepid Travel has expanded its range of culinary tours with two new Real Food Adventures on the menu for this year.

The tours visit countries in Eastern Europe, a region not typically top of mind when people think of foodie destinations, but one Intrepid says is set for a breakout year.

The Real Adventure – Macedonia and Montenegro tour will offer travellers a chance to indulge in local wines, visit beehives in the mountains and enjoy several delicacies from cuisines inspired by both the Mediterranean and Middle East.

The Real Food Adventure Slovenia and Croatia will turn travellers into truffle hunters in Istria and includes several market visits.
Both tours offer an authentic culinary experience that combine home-cooked meals, street food, open-air markets and local restaurants. The 10-day tours have been designed to discover these countries through its cuisine, a trend that is not slowing down any time soon.

The first tours are set to depart this summer.
