Tourism Australia Opens Applications for Corroboree West

Tourism Australia (TA) has opened applications for Corroboree West 2017, a five-day training and familiarization event for qualified Aussie Specialists.

The first annual Corroboree West will take place on the Gold Coast Oct. 7-19 and, for the first time, will bring together the Americas and European agents.

Three hundred front-line agents from Canada, the US, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy will have the opportunity to attend Corroboree West, flying to Australia from Los Angeles (for the North American market). Applications for the event are now open (to April 21). Agents will need to qualify as an Aussie Specialist before they apply.

The program will include training workshops and networking functions Oct. 9-14, where agents will meet with 100 tourism products from all across Australia. Agents will then join post conference familiarization trip to experience Australia first-hand.

Agents will be experience the beach lifestyle, abundant nature and dynamic culture that make Queensland such an enduring destination. The Gold Coast is a vibrant city that has maintained its coastal town soul and experiences, with its iconic sandy beaches, World Heritage listed rainforests and food and wine scene.
