A Few Adjustments From Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines has made adjustments to its ticketing. The carrier says that for “booking flexibility and peace of mind we have implemented and expanded the following ticket options”:

For passengers with tickets issued on or after March 1 until Aug. 31

* Ethiopian Airlines is extending our offer to waive the change fee on tickets issued for travel between March 1, 2020 to Sept. 30 2020 and extend the validity of the ticket for travel until Dec. 31, 2021.

• Changes and reissues are permitted with a waiver of reissue fee.
• Passenger can travel during summer 2020 booked in ticketed RBD (Pending Flight resumption).
• Additional fare collections due to seasonality will apply only for the following seasons –
• Dec. 2020/Jan. 2020/Summer 2021/Dec. 2021.
• Tickets issued in low season will be valid for travel in low season.
• Tickets issued using high season will be valid in high season in the same RBD

For passengers with pre-Covid19 tickets issued prior to March 1 2020

* The airline is extending its offer to waive the change fee on existing pre-covid19 tickets to use for travel until Dec. 31, 2021.

• Changes and reissues are permitted with the waiver of reissue fee.
• Travel is permitted on same RBD, however seasonality applies.
• Tickets issued in low season will be valid for travel in low season.
• Tickets issued using high season will be valid in high season in same RBD.

For passengers travelling with newly booked tickets from June 1, 2020

• Applicable fare and available RBD in GDS.
