A First Look At Xolumado Inspiration Village

Ahead of its Jan. 7 opening date, travel agents got an exclusive preview of Xolumado Inspiration Village by Karisma during the 11th annual Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant Sales & Marketing Forum held recently in the Riviera Maya.

Located on 2.5 acres surrounded by lush vegetation, the property once belonged to a famous Mexican musician who named Xolumado after the first names of Sr. Martinez and Sra. Dolores, the owners of El Dorado Spa Resorts, Generations Resorts, and Hidden Beach Resort by Karisma.

“We are thrilled to debut this one-of-a-kind destination for guests seeking to unwind with nature,” said Kelly Poling, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Karisma Hotels & Resorts. “Xolumado combines Karisma’s elevated hospitality with the natural and cultural beauty of Mexico’s Riviera Maya to create an authentic, tranquil experience for guests to enjoy with friends, family or significant others.”

On location for a special ribbon cutting ceremony and preview event, Poling told PressToday Xolumado Inspiration Village is also great option for groups, whether it’s wedding parties or yoga and wellness retreats, as they’re able to book the entire property.

In total there are 41 cottages available across three room categories, 21 uniquely designed suites that were previously existing and 20 standard new builds.

The intimate property features a pool, gardens and intertwining pathways, and the Xolumado Restaurant BBQ & Bar. As part of its Gourmet Inclusive Experience, guests can enjoy à la carte dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, premium wines and liquors, non-alcoholic beverages and fresh tropical fruit juices. Featuring fresh ingredients sourced from Karisma’s nearby 76,000 square-foot hydroponic greenhouse, Xolumado provides an authentic farm-to-table dining experience.

There will be daily yoga and meditation, the Shhh Experience complete with sound healing, outdoor breathing exercises, massage lessons, Spanish and Mayan classes, authentic Mexican cooking classes, tequila and mezcal tastings, movie nights in the jungle, pottery painting, diving, wine pairing and painting seminars, and tours of Karisma’s expansive greenhouse and more.

Guests staying at Xolumado Inspiration Village will also have access to the neighbouring AAA 4-Diamond Resort, Generations Riviera Maya by Karisma, including five restaurants, three bars, beachside lounges, an oversized pool with a swim-up bar, a kids’ club and more.

Rates begin at $165 per person, per night with à la carte dining restaurants, premium alcoholic beverages, full-service concierge, and 24-hour room service.
