A Night To Remember
It was a night to remember.
After two years of waiting, the Agents’ Choice Awards Gala was back and for the sell-out crowd attending it was something special.
The evening – ably managed by Master of Ceremonies, Tim Law — featured a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment by Nova Sounds and supplier favourites in 35 categories were honoured at the Canadian travel industry’s annual signature Awards Gala at the historic art deco Eglinton Grand Theatre in Toronto.
Both Baxter Media’s executive vice-president, Wendy McClung and executive editor, Bob Mowat made no secret that the evening was all about celebrating.
McClung told the Gala audience that: “There are no better advocates for the professionalism of this industry than the frontline sellers who helped bring stranded people home, clients or not. It’s been a rough couple of years for all of us. But we have come through it and today, acknowledging our achievements is more important than ever.”
During the evening, the industry’s favourite BDMs were recognized and the W.H. Baxter Lifetime Achievement Award was be presented to three icons of this country’s travel industry.
While Denise Heffron, managing director of Uplift Canada Inc., presented the
2022 W.H. Baxter Lifetime Achievement Award to Transat’s founders – Jean-Marc Eustache, Lina DeCesare, and Philippe Sureau.”

The 2022 Agents’ Choice Awards Gala was presented by Air Canada, Manulife, Porter, Voyzant and Westjet.
