Air Canada reports that in January it had a record system load factor of 80%, versus 79.4% in January 2013 — an increase of 0.6 percentage points on a system-wide capacity increase of 3%.

On this additional capacity, system traffic for January increased 3.7%. AC reports its traffic results on a system-wide basis, including Air Canada rouge, which began operations on July 1, 2013, and regional airlines from which Air Canada purchases capacity.

Air Canada president Calin Rovinescu (pictured) said, “Air Canada generated greater traffic for the month of January in all markets the airline serves with system wide growth of 3.7% on a capacity increase of 3%, led by increases in traffic in Latin American, Caribbean and US transborder markets.”
