Accommodating New Zealand

New Zealand just keeps getting more accommodating. The destination recently reported the addition of several new accommodation offerings that provide travellers with some additional options on where to stay when visiting the destination.

The new accommodation additions include:

Auckland – Only the seventh SO/ hotel in existence around the world, the new five-star, 130-room SO/ Auckland is a hot hub of hospitality for visitors and locals. There are three bars including a rooftop bar with outdoor terrace and private booths enjoying uninterrupted views of Auckland Harbour. A French-inspired restaurant on the 15th floor also has panoramic views of the harbour and offers fine dining at the hands of a world-acclaimed French chef. Each hotel room includes its own luxurious bath, an abundance of natural light, a separate rain-shower, on-demand, in-room technology, complimentary non-alcoholic mini bar and Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV and a choice of harbour or city views. Harbour view rooms also have outdoor balcony access. Rates start from $469 NZD (approx. $421 Cdn) per room per night. (https://www.so-auckland.com/)

Queenstown – Kamana Lakehouse, Queenstown’s newest boutique accommodation (Dec 2018), has opened following a multi-million-dollar redevelopment on the former Aspen Hotel’s site high above Lake Wakatipu. The interiors of the 73 ensuite rooms have luxury facilities in contemporary design. Rates start at $266 NZD (approx. $239 Cdn) per room per night. (https://www.kamana.co.nz/)

Cambridge – Lakeview Lodge Karapiro opened in October 2018 and is a bespoke luxury lodge, which can accommodate up to 24 guests. It caters to the leisure, corporate and special interest groups.
