ACTA Introduces Anti-Spam Resource

ACTA-May6

The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) is supporting its members as they get set to comply with Canada’s new Anti-Spam legislation.

In partnership with Coralie Belman, CTM and president of Coralium Consulting, ACTA is offering its members an Anti-Spam resource to help understand the issues, clear any confusion and comply with the new legislation coming into effect July 1.

The ACTA Anti-Spam resource includes summary documents that break down the legislation into a context that is specific to the retail travel trade and a FAQ is being offered to help answer some of the more common questions. These materials are free for ACTA members and available for download in the member section of the ACTA web site.

ACTA understands this new law has been established to target egregious spammers of phishing and malware e-mail, however, it is essential for ACTA members to understand how these new regulations will affect your business. Canada will be home to the strictest Anti-Spam legislation in the world as of July 1.

To support the summary documents and FAQ, ACTA will also be hosting an educational webinar and Q&A on this topic on June 12 at 1:30 p.m. EST. This is free for ACTA members and $35 for non-ACTA members. To register, visit https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7287338027595139073 .
