ACTA seeking applicants for DEI and ITA committees
ACTA is seeking individuals who are passionate about shaping the future of Canada’s travel industry.
ACTA invites members to join two influential committees in 2025: the Independent Travel Advisor (ITA) Committee and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee.
Independent Travel Advisor Committee
This committee focuses on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing independent advisors. Members collaborate on initiatives ranging from advocacy to professional development programs, ensuring the independent advisor's voice shapes industry policies and practices.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee
This committee works to create a more inclusive travel industry by developing strategies to attract diverse talent, enhance cultural competency in travel services, and ensure our industry serves all Canadians effectively. This committee collaborates closely with all ACTA initiatives to embed DEI principles throughout our organization.
Why join an ACTA committee?
Committee membership offers unique opportunities to:
- Contribute to and influence the future direction of Canada’s travel industry
- Network with accomplished professionals across the country
- Represent your agency and help mentor other professionals while making a lasting impact
- Help create a more inclusive and equitable travel industry
ACTA is committed to ensuring diverse representation from all provinces and business models. We especially encourage applications from participants who can bring varied perspectives and experiences to these roles. Meetings are held virtually via MS Teams quarterly.
