ACV Expands European Travel Options
Air Canada Vacations (ACV) has unveiled several new itineraries set to be featured in its Europe brochure which will be launched this spring.
Last week the tour operator announced new Island Hopping itineraries in Greece. This week, the focus is on Ireland, Portugal and Spain.
The newly expanded collection of these three destinations offers travellers a variety of options through Urban Getaways+, Fly & Rail Vacations, Fly & Drive Vacations and Guided Tours.
Urban Getaways+ highlights Spain and Portugal’s most vibrant cities, including Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and Porto. In Barcelona, travellers will experience Spanish culture and architecture with a visit to the Sagrada Familia cathedral and a stroll through Las Ramblas promenade. In Madrid, itineraries offer sights of some of the city’s biggest attractions including the Royal Palace, the Paseo del Prado and the Cibeles and Neptuno fountains.
In Lisbon, travellers will explore the Belem quarter, the Jeronimos Monastery, the National Coach Museum and the Alfama and Rossio quarters. And in Porto – a UNESCO World Heritage site – visitors will enjoy a stroll through the medieval alleyways and visit baroque churches and beaux-arts buildings.
Featured itineraries in Guided Tours include Splendours of Spain with an expert guide taking visitors through Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, Ronda and Granada to learn about the country’s diverse past; and the Best of Ireland featuring a visit of Count Kerry’s seaside towns, and tours of Boyne Valley, the tombs of Loughcrew and Blarney Castle.
Fly and Drive Vacations put a strong emphasis on the landscapes of Ireland. The Live like a Lord itinerary includes a drive through some of the country’s picturesque towns and hamlets including Galway, Clifden and Kerry. Suggested itineraries include stops at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 16th century Trinity College and the Cliffs of Moher. Accommodations include stays in ancient castles.
Fly and Rail Vacations’ itinerary highlights include Ireland: From City to Nature and Portugal: City and Coast.
Travellers booking any pre-bundled air-inclusive package to Europe by March 31 will save $300 per couple; $150 per adult; receive a reduced deposit and free seat selection, and earn 4,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles – Ireland bookings receive 10,000 miles per couple.
This promotion is also applicable to European air and cruise bookings.
Featured cruise lines include Norwegian and MSC, both offering special booking perks.
