ACV Hits The Road
Air Canada Vacations has hit the road on its annual series of sun training seminars.
Thirty-seven cities in all will be visited this month with Montreal having kicked off the parade Sept. 8 with 250 agents on hand for a trade show featuring 49 ACV suppliers and tourist boards and a dinner presentation.
PressToday caught up with the tour operator the following night in Mississauga — the first of almost a dozen dates in southern Ontario.
Some of those on hand included Barbados tourist board’s Deborah Millington and travel consultant Vinnie Vats of Travelair in Toronto (shown here).
ACV GM of sales for Western Canada, Denise Graham, enthused about the turnouts and the buzz that seems to be back in the industry. And that’s good news for the tour operator, which has more seats than ever to fill with the success of rouge. “We’ve never been so competitive,” she said.
