A new look is in order for this year’s Agents’ Choice Awards, the 17th year of the annual readership survey, which is by far the largest sampling of the travel trade of its kind in Canada.
In addition to a bold new design, including easy to read charts, a handful of new categories have been added to help reveal even more Canadian travel trades favourites, and why.
They have also been aggregated into new themed groupings, such as Upon Arrival.
The survey has now grown to 35 categories, including some new sub-sections such as favourite executive class airline, along with favourite shopping destination, theme park, and more.
With 10% more voters than last year, the survey offers opinions from more than 5,500 members of the travel trade (5,509 to be precise) in 2016.
The online survey with drop-down menus ran between February and April via ballots in Canadian Travel Press and Travel Courier, TravelPress.com, and on social media.
This year, incentive grand prizes (for two) include flights to a sun destination courtesy of Air Canada/Air Canada Vacations; a 16-day tour of Spain, Morocco and Portugal, courtesy of Trafalgar; an eight-day Europe educational cruise from Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection; and a $250 Best Buy gift card from Manulife.
