Air North celebrates 48 years with special birthday sale
Air North, Yukon’s Airline, proudly celebrates 48 years of service, marking nearly five decades of connecting communities and fostering economic growth across Canada.
What began in the 1970s as a charter service for the mining industry has since expanded to serve 12 destinations from coast to coast, earning a reputation for community-driven excellence.
“We take pride in investing in the communities we serve and in building connections with our customers in ways that larger carriers may not be able to,” said Joseph Sparling, president and CEO of Air North. “Our success has come largely as a result of our ability to engage our community, employees, and travellers, and we look forward to doing so for many more years.”
“Thank you for being part of our journey,” added Sparling. “We are honoured to serve the Yukon and beyond and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service for years to come.”
A commitment to community
Air North is 49 per cent owned by the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, and a deep commitment to community has been at the heart of its journey from the very beginning.
Through the Yukon Spirit in Action sponsorship program, the airline supports initiatives that promote wellness, lifelong learning, culture, sport, diversity, and economic prosperity. This dedication to creating meaningful, lasting change remains a core value that continues to guide Air North’s growth and future.
Today, Air North offers a variety of services, including package products through Air North Getaways, corporate travel solutions, air passes for frequent flyers, and its flagship charter services.
To thank its loyal customers and commemorate this milestone, Air North is offering a special birthday sale until February 3, 2025, available at www.flyairnorth.com.
